Cake festival held in Chuadanga

A Cake Festival (Pitha Utsab) was held on the premises of Chuadanga Adarsha Mohila College in Chuadanga on Thursday.  Najrul Islam Sarker, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Chuadanga inaugurated the festival organized by students of Chuadanga Adarsha Mohila College.

The inaugural session was presided over by Azizur Rahman, Principal of Chuadanga Adarsha Mohila College while Kamruzzaman, Principal of Chuadanga Government College, Kanai Lal Sarker, Additional Superintendent of Police and Siddiqur Rahaman, former Principal of Chuadanga College spoke on the occasion. 

Students from HSC first year, HSC second year, Bangla Department, Political Science Department, Economics Department, Islamic History Department and Philosophy Department set up cake stalls at the festival. Different cakes of rural areas were made and displayed at the stalls. Students of the college and town residents attended the festival. 

DC Najrul Islam Sarker said we should uphold the tradition and culture of Bangladesh through this kind of initiatives.
