A businessman was shot to death by some miscreants on Wednesday afternoon at Bijoypur area under Lalpur Upazila in Natore.
The deceased was identified as Alak Bagchi, 55, a local businessman and son of Anil Bagchi of the area.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge of Lalpur Police Station said, a van puller found Alak Bagchi as laid down being senseless after shooting him by miscreants on the Gopalpur-Owalia road under Lalpur Upazila. Later he rushed Alak to the locals Clinic by the help of the locals. But the authority of the local clinic referred him to Lalpur Upazila Health Complex. Later, the duty doctor of Lalpur Upazila Health Complex declared Alak as dead when he was admitted, he added.
Tonmoy, nephew of Alak said, being informed the family members of the deceased went to Hospital to see him but they found him as dead. He also added that, Alak run a grocery shop at his early times.
Nazrul Islam Jewel, Officer-in-charge of Lalpur Police Station also added that, no clue has yet been found of this murder and no case has yet been filled.
