Bullet-hit body of Sarbhara Party activist recovered

Police of Aminpur thana under Pabna district recovered bullet-ridden dead body of an activist of outlawed Sarbahara Party from Chaithupi Dhalarchar village around 8:00 pm on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as Atiar Sarder, son of late Satter Sarder of the same village.

Police claimed, Atiar was an activist of outlawed, militant Sarbahara party. He was released from jail two months ago and was trying to lead a normal life by engaging himself in business. There are several cases against him with Aminpur and in Pangsha police station of Rajbari district. He might be killed as a sequel of internal feud of two groups of the militant party, police suspects.

Goutam Kumar Biswas, Additional Superintendent of Police informed, during the incident, Atiar Rahman was sitting pn a shop at Kakshimul Khanka Sharif market when activists of outlawed Sarbahara party called him behind the market and shot him. He died on the spot. During retreating after killing Atiar, Sabrahara activists chanted slogans of the party and went towards Rajbari thorough riverine route. Police recovered the dead body and six rifles from the spot.
