BSRM Steels Limited has donated various lab materials for the disabled corner in the Central Library of Chittagong University(CU). The materials were handed over to the university on Sunday.
Head of CSR Tarikhul Kabir of BSRM Gr oup of Companies Limited handed over the lab materials on behalf of BSRM Steels Limited. Acting Registrar of the University Professor SM Monirul Hasan, Acting Librarian KM Mahfuzul Haque and other officials of the library were present on behalf of the university.
It is learned that on April 21, 2020, 14 computers and 4 CPUs were stolen from the e-learning center for the disabled in the central library of the university. The university administration promised to reactivate the lab soon after the incident. Golam Kibria, general secretary of Chittagong University, said that the university administration had promised to reactivate the lab as soon as possible after the items were stolen from the disabled corner.
We thank the administration for fulfilling their promise. We are also grateful to BSRM Steels Limited for its overall support. In this regard, the head of CSR Tarikhuk Kabir of BSRM Group of Companies Limited said, "We undertake various collaborative activities out of social responsibility."
As part of this, we have provided lab materials in the CU Disability Corner.

SM Monirul Hasan, acting registrar of the university, said some materials were stolen from the disabled corner of the library when the university was closed due to corona. BSRM has given us these stolen items as a gift for the purpose of reactivating the lab.
