A female student of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Science and Technology University (BSMRSTU) reportedly took her own life at her home in Gopalganj town.
The deceased was identified as Manisha Hira, a student of Department of Management Studies of 2016-17 session. Manisha's parents found her body hanging in the room of their rented house in Sabujbagh area on Saturday morning.
Reason behind the death is uncertain. Police recovered the body and sent it for postmortem examination. Meanwhile, the death of Manisha cast a shadow of mourning at the university.
