The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) returned 39 Bangladeshi nationals, including men, women, and children, through a flag meeting at the Meherpur border.
The handover took place around 2pm on Tuesday near Main Pillar No. 147 in the Kazipur border area of Gangni upazila.
All returnees are residents of various districts in Bangladesh who had previously crossed into India illegally and were later detained by Indian police and imprisoned.
After serving their sentences, they were handed over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB). BGB Kazipur Camp stated that the returnees will be handed to Gangni police after verification.
