BSCL opens TV broadcasting quality monitoring center

The newly constructed Monitoring Center of Bangladesh Satellite Company Limited (BSCL) was inaugurated at its headquarters in Dhaka on Wednesday. 

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan attended at the event as the chief guest while Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar was present as the special guest, said a press release. The new Monitoring Center will oversee the broadcasting quality of the television channels distributing through the Bangabandhu Satellite-1.

Presided over by BSCL Chairman Shahjahan Mahmood, secretary to the Posts and Telecommunications Department, BSCL directors and of senior officials of the ministries concerned were present on the occasion. 

Besides, BSCL's innovative services such as connecting mobile phone base transceiver stations (BTS) in remote areas through V-SAT technology, connecting telephone exchanges, operating video surveillance systems were showcased at the event.
