Vast area of Chattogram has inundated like other areas of the country due to the floodwater. Several lakh people were marooned. Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) officials and staff members donated their one day’s salary to the relief fund of the Chief Adviser to help the flood-affected people.
They gave a total of Tk 8 lakh 35 thousand 841 financial assistance to the flood victims.
A press release from Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) General Manager Administration Office confirmed the matter on Wednesday.
The press release said Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC) is expressing deep concern and sincere sympathy to the flood victims and for the ongoing flood situation in various districts of the country recently. To help the flood victims, one day’s salary of all employees of Bangladesh Shipping Corporation (BSC), Tk 8 lakh 35 thousand 841 financial assistance, has been sent through Sonali Bank Limited port branch. Besides, 500 packets relief items were sent through Chattogram District Administration for the flood victims. The financial assistance was sent to the relief and welfare fund of the Chief Adviser.
