BRUDD working assistant acquitted of charges

Mohammad Abul Hossain, 60, a working assistant of Barisal Roads and Urban Development Department (BRUDD), was acquitted in the case as he was not found guilty in Jhalokati.

Jhalokati Judicial Magistrate First Court Judge AH Imranul Rahman passed the order on Sunday. Faisal Khan, counsel for the accused in the case, confirmed the information. According to the case file, some trees were sold in January 2018 to make sculptures of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Nalchiti part of Jhalokati district of Barisal Roads and Urban Development Department. 

The Barisal Roads and Urban Development Department sold the tree and deposited the money in the government treasury. Besides, those who took care of these trees were also paid according to the rules. 

However, Jhalakati District Assistant Forest Officer Ziaul Islam Baklai Forest Department on January 25, 2018, alleging that the trees. Abul Hossain filed a case in Jhalokati court in his name. However, in this case. The identity of Abul Hossain's Barisal Roads and Urban Development Assistant was kept secret. Barisal Roads and Urban Development Working Assistant said not guilty. The court ordered Abul Hossain to be acquitted of the case. Barisal Roads Department Assistant. 

Abul Hossain said, “Jhalakati District Assistant Forest Officer Ziaul Islam filed a case against me alleging false cutting of Baklai tree. That case was motive driven. 

I have been acquitted by the court in this case. I want justice for harassing me by filing false charges against me. 

I will file a case in the court in this regard.”
