BPL second phase uncertain

The second phase of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is now uncertain. Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) doesn’t know when the second phase will kick-off in the field. The scheduled date was April 9 but the governing body of the organization could not start in time because corona virus pandemic. 

“We shall resume the second phase after the lockdown. It is our basic task to complete the league in due time but because of   COVID-19 pandemic, nobody knows when it would be finished. After the lockdown, the situation will be normal, the league will be move within one or two weeks,” said BFF official. The country is now under lockdown. So, it is not possible for the BFF, to resume the game again. It will be delayed due to COVID -19 situations. BFF postponed all types of matches for the reason of the Corona Virus spread wide and the country is totally apparent stand still on lockdown.   

The countrywide lockdown will be start from April 14 to 20. BFF postponed its entire schedule due to lockdown. The highest authority of the federation can’t say when the second tier will get underway. 

BFF hopes the second phase will be kick off after ends the lockdown, they will run the BPL within two weeks as per schedule when the lockdown finish, according to source.
