The national football squad reached Nepal on Thursday to take part in a tri-nation tournament involving the hosts Nepal and Kyrgyzstan U-23.
Bangladesh received a setback before leaving the country as defender Rahmat Mia missed the Nepal-bound flight after contracting coronavirus.
However, midfielder Rakib Hossain flew with the team after testing Covid-19 negative during the second test.
Earlier on Wednesday, Rakib tested positive for Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Rahmat will undergo a second test on March 20 and upon his getting corona negative result, he will be flying to Nepal on March 22 with skipper Jamal Bhuyan who was released by the I-League team Kolkata Mohammedan.
The tri-nation tournament will kick off on March 23 and continue till 29 of this month at the Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu, Nepal.
