The national football team reported to the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) at the Motijheel office premises for the tri-nation tournament scheduled to take place from 23 to 29 on March, at the Dashrath Stadium, Kathmandu in Nepal.
Apart from the skipper Jamal Bhuiyan, 26 out of 31 players were present at the training camp.The men in green and red will not take part in any full-fledged training sessions ahead of this tourney. The players will only do gym and swimming sessions at the team hotel.
Meanwhile, former national footballer Iqbal Hossain appointed as the new manager for the upcoming tournament, the BFF informed on Monday.
Iqbal will take possession of the previous team manager Amer Khan, who was temporarily assigned during Bangladesh’s return-leg against Qatar in their joint qualifiers of the FIFA World Cup 2022 and AFC Asian Cup 2023 last December.
BFF executive committee member and former footballer Amer is also playing the role of the team manager of Bangladesh Premier League club Brothers Union.
