All the players of the Bangladesh National Football team have been passing busy times in practice sessions twice in almost everyday in Taif City, Saudi Arabia.
Bangladesh team, who went Saud Arabia for the conditioning camp ahead of their away match of FIFA World Cup 2026 and Asian Cup Qualifiers 2027 against Palestine to take place on March 21 in Kuwait, practicing two times almost everyday.
According to a BFF sources from Saudi Arabia, players are working hard for their upcoming match in Kuwait, as every player is serious in the practice with the target to make room in the squad.
However, after a practice session on Tuesday, goalkeepers Mitul Marma, Mahfuz Hasan Pritom and head coach Javier Cabrera expressed detailed about the surroundings and training facilities in Taif.
Pritom told, “Actually we are here for training camp, facilties are available than any other places. from hotel to playground, all are perfect for football environments, we are enjoying our training since we are here.”
“Day by day we are increasing our power and will have to work more, as our opponents Palestine are strong side. So our practice would have on that level to earn points from the match. Players are enjoying the condition in cool weather.”
“There are so many new faces in the team than the previous times, all are eager to make their place in the main squad. For one place two or more players are contesting, so this time competition among the players are remarkable. Everyone wants to perform and they have the ability and they are enjoying this competition.”
“One thing is very much positive that the winning mentality among the newcomers, their firmness of not to lose match without fight is very much positive,” Pritom detailed all about their intentions and boldness with the training session.
Mitul Marma another goalkeeper, who played some matches for national team in absence of regular goalkeeper Anisur Rahman Zico, when expressed his point of view after a training session on Tuesday almost echoed with team’s rivals Pritom, as he said, “In fact, we are enjoying much the training sessions. Coaches are working with new techniques, we are working hard.”
“To be honest to have chance in the national team is very much tough and competitive, because two or more players are fighting for one position, like, I played some matches in absence of Zico Bhai (Anisur Rahman Zico) as goalkeeper, now he has comeback. So it is a big challenge for me and I will try my optimal level to make chance.”
“Here facilities are very good, hotel, training camp and playground all facilities are top class. So we focus will be to do something positive against the Palestine match. We actually are working with our weaknesses in every tour camp, Miguel (goalkeeping coach) very much friendly, he works with all of our mistakes.
Head coach Javier Cabrera said that he was very wit the boys intensity – “Boys intensity is quite high. They are very much positive, everything is progressing well. We are working with every department. Palestine is very strong team so, how we will have to face them, we are working on that. Newcomers are also doing well, we are very happy with the development and progression.”
