Booters gain ground in FIFA rankings

Bangladesh national football team have gained grounds in FIFA rankings as the team moved up the ladder by two steps, that was disclosed by the world Football governing body FIFA on Thursday. 

Bangladesh are now in 184th, the Red and Green were in 186th place on February 18. It is somewhat a good achievement for Jamie Day & Co, as the national side played three international encounter in the last two months, where they won one, one and drew one.

Jamie Day’s pupils lost to hosts Nepal in the tri-nation final on March 29. It was very unfortunate to defeat in the hands ofGorkhalis. Bangladesh earned 917.38 points, gained 0.38 points from the previous count. 

Tri-nation champions Nepal are in 171th place and remain unchanged. India went down to 105th, from their previous ranking of 104th. The first six spot in the FIFA rankings remain unchanged with Belgium, France, Brazil, England Portugal and Spain being the top six teams respectively. Four-time world champions Italy moved into seventh ad they moved up by three steps in the ranking.
