Even now that ‘The Book of Boba Fett’ has gotten under way; it isn't as popular as fellow Star Wars show ‘The Mandalorian’. Much like Marvel Studios, Lucasfilm is hard at work on developing numerous streaming shows set within the galaxy far, far away. The first to debut on Disney+, The Mandalorian, became a bona fide hit when it premiered in 2019, and season 2 in 2020 only increased interest in the adventures of lone bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal). The development of shows like Obi-Wan Kenobi and Ahsoka has been seemingly fueled by The Mandalorian's success.

A spin-off of The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett is only the second live-action Star Wars show to release on Disney+. It's one audiences have been waiting a long time for as well, as it focuses on fan favorite original trilogy character Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison). ‘The Mandalorian season 2’ concluded with Fett and sharpshooter Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) returning to Tatooine and taking over Jabba the Hutt's criminal empire. Now, The Book of Boba Fett follows their efforts to maintain their stake on Tatooine's underbelly.

The Book of Boba Fett premiered only two weeks ago, meaning it's only just begun its 7-episode run. However, new data reveals it has yet to reach the same audience as ‘The Mandalorian’. According to Insider, Parrot Analytics' data confirms that Boba Fett hasn't increased its post-premiere demand as much as The Mandalorian did. During their first 11 days of being available, demand for The Mandalorian was 75.5% higher than Book of Boba Fett in the United States. Meanwhile, demand for The Mandalorian was 101% higher globally.
