Director-General of Rural Development Academy Aminul Islam has been awarded the National Integrity Prize under the Office/Department category of 2020. The prize is awarded in accordance with the Integrity Award Policy-2017 of the Cabinet Division to encourage the government officials and employees.
RDA sources in Bogura informed, Aminul Islam joined as the DG of RDA on February-6,2019 and within a short time he pioneered to adopt and implement many important projects in accordance with government policy and the electoral pledges of the present government and for conducting research on " Amar Gram Amar Shahar Policy".
Aminul Islam is continuing various research-oriented activities at the RDA including -Research on Machination of the farm, Research and Application of Cooperative based mechanised cultivation project without any Aile (demarkation line of the land), Research of Community based commercial poultry farming, Research on Amar bari-Amar Khamar, Applied Research on Rural Areas and Research on the development of quality of life of people living in Haor and Char regions.
Under direct supervision and directives of Aminul Islam, many important programmes including the Foundation Training Course for BCS officials, Training on Governance for the public representatives, Traning for the beneficiaries of Amar Bari Amar Khamar Project, training on various trades for people of the rural academy areas, training on agriculture, fisheries and domestic animal, self-employment oriented and professional efficiency-related various training have been implemented.
It is learnt, Aminul Islam joined in Administration Cadre on December-20, 1989 and worked in various administrative capacities including as Additional Divisional Commissioner and as the Deputy Secretary.
He has also been awarded the National Certificate Award of Scouts, Medal of Merit, Bar to the Medal and the Chief National Commissioner Award and has been nominated for the Silver English Award.
