Bogura Press Club gets new executive body

New executive body of Bogura Press Club was formed. In this connection, an election was held at the press club on Thursday. Mahmudul Alam Nayan and Arif Rehman were elected as President and General Secretary respectively of the new executive body.

On Thursday night the result was announced. The vote casting was continuing from 10am to 4pm on that day.  Mojammel Haque, chairman of election organizing committee announced the election result on 8pm on Thursday. 187 among 196 members were cast their votes.   

Mahmudul Alam Nayan, staff reporter of Daily Janakantha elected as president by getting 108 votes. His nearest competitor Rezaul Hasan Ranu got 73 vote. Arif Rehman, correspondent of SA TV elected as general secretary by getting 75 vote. His nearest competitor Sumona Roy got 70 vote. 

The other winners of Nayan-Arif pannel are: Abdus Salam Babu (Alo Pritidin), Abdul Mottalib Manik (Kaler Khobor), SM Kawsar (Somokal) as vice-president; Sajedur Rahman Sizu, Sazzad Hossain Pal as Joint Secretary; Shafiul Azam Komol as office secretary Komlesh Mohonto Sanu for Treasurer Post, Ilias Hossain for the post of sports secretary.
