Bogura PPP Confce to explore investment prospects

The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Authority of Bangladesh successfully organised a divisional PPP conference and workshop at Hotel Naz Garden, Bogura, bringing together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to explore future investment prospects through PPP.

The conference was graced by Mr. Muhammad Rafiqul Islam, Secretary to the Bangladesh Government and Chief Executive Officer of the PPP Authority, as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Ms. Hosna Afroz, District Magistrate of Bogura, who emphasized the district’s potential in attracting strategic investments ; it was also attended by Police Super Bogura - Zedan Al Musa, Additional Divisional Commissioner Parvez Raihan & Civil Surgeon, Bogura.

The workshop also witnessed enthusiastic participation from large-scale investors, as well as government and non-government officials from various sectors. Key discussions revolved around unlocking the investment potential of underutilized public assets, with particular focus on the vast lands of state-owned sugar mills in Bogura, which were identified as high-potential sites for future PPP ventures.

Participants also reflected on successful PPP case studies, including the transformation of textile mills under PPP models, which served as an inspiring example of revitalizing industries through public-private collaboration.

A series of fruitful panel discussions explored both large-scale and small-scale PPP project opportunities, showcasing the diversity of investment scopes available in the region. 

The conference served as a vital knowledge-sharing platform, fostering stronger public-private engagement to accelerate regional development.

This divisional workshop marked a significant step forward in promoting decentralized PPP initiatives and creating an enabling environment for sustainable, inclusive growth through collaborative efforts.
