Bogura people demand permanent ‘Mujib Mancho’

The countdown of Mujib Barsho to celebrate birth centenary of Bangabandhu  started from 10th January. To recall and celebrate the day a stage has been established in Bogura town. 

This open stage has been named as ‘Mujib Mancho’. However, cultural activists of this area are demanding a permanent stage. 

According to Bogura Deputy Commissioner, a modern digital machine has already been established at Birshreshtho Square in Bogura town.

The stage has been established with  bricks and cement. Besides the stage, a picture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been  placed. The countdown has been  going on by digital electronic machine from 10th January. A discussion meeting along  with importance of Mujib Barsho and cultural programme has been held at the newly erected stage. Cultural activists of Sammilita Sangskritik Jote and Zilla Shilpokola  participated in the cultural programme. Former lawmaker of Bogura-1 constituency Abdul Mannan was present in that programme. At that time, he mentioned to make this stage permanent and name it as ‘Mujib Mancho'. 

Deputy Commissioner of Bogura Foyez Ahammed said the stage has been named as 'Mujib Mancho'. We will try to make it permanent. 

President of Bogura Sammilita Sangskritik Jote, Taufiq Hasan Moyna and General Secretary Abu Sayeed Siddique said we have already proposed to Deputy Commissioner to make the stage permanent.

If the stage is  permanent, cultural activities of Bogura will step ahead. Moreover, this Mujib Mancho will be a witness of Mujib birth centenary. 

Member Secretary of Bogura Sammilita Sangskritik Jote, Abdus Salam Babu said cultural activities of Bogura is very powerful. Different social and cultural organization performed various programmes at Satmatha in Bogura. Everybody will be benefitted if the stage becomes permanent.
