Bogura observes Bangamata’s 91st birth anniv

The 91st birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's wife Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujibhas been celebrated in Bogura. On this occasion, the district administration, police administration, district Awami League and other government institutions, various social and political organizations have carried out various programs in compliance with the health rules.

Bogra Deputy Commissioner Md Ziaul Haque laid a wreath at the temporary portrait of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib at Battala Chattar of the Deputy Commissioner's Office at 9 am amidst various programs of the district administration. A discussion meeting was held at 12 noon at the Deputy Commissioner's Office. Additional Deputy Commissioner Ujjwal Kumar Ghosh presided over the function and Bogura Deputy Commissioner Ziaul Haque was the chief guest.  

Bogura's new Superintendent of Police Sudip Kumar Chakraborty, District Council Chairman Dr Maqbool Hossain, District Awami League President Alhaj Mojibur Rahman Majnu, General Secretary Ragebul Ahsan Ripu, former Commander of Muktijoddha Sangsad Bogura Ruhul Amin Babal spoke as special guests under the direction of Additional Deputy Commissioner Masum Ali Beg. 

Deputy Commissioner Md Ziaul Haque distributed sewing machines among the women after a discussion meeting on the occasion of the 91st birth anniversary of Bangamata Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib. After Zohar, special recitation of Holy Quran and Doa Mahfil was organized in all the mosques and special prayers were offered in other places of worship for the soul of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib

Earlier, the police administration led by Superintendent of Police Sudip Kumar Chakraborty paid homage to the portrait at the Deputy Commissioner's office premises. Besides, Muktijoddha Sangsad, Zila Parishad, Sadar Upazila Parishad, Ansar VDP, Fire Service, Upazila Administration, Bangabandhu Parishad and other organizations also laid wreaths. A prayer mahfil was organized by the district Awami League at the tomb mosque of Bhai Pagla in Johar town.
