Body recovered in Bhairab

Police have recovered the body of an unidentified man (35) from Meghna River in Bhaairab. The body was recovered from a river in the Tri-Setu area on the banks of Bhairab Meghna at 11 am on Thursday.

According to police and local sources, the body was found floating in the morning and locals informed the police. However, the identity of the body has not been known yet. Police said the cause of death would be known after an autopsy.

Bhairab Navy Police Sub-Inspector Russell Mia said the body of an unidentified man (35) was found floating in the river. However, marks were found on the head of the body and his legs were tied.

The body already sent to Kishoreganj 250-bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy. He also said that necessary steps will be taken after investigating the matter.
