Zahidur Rahman, a Member of Parliament from the 12th National Parliament and the BNP's nominated candidate for the Thakurgaon-3 (Pirganj-Ranishankail) constituency in the upcoming 13th national election, has been critically ill and was airlifted to Dhaka for advanced treatment.
He suddenly suffered from a cardiac complication around 3 am on Thursday. He was immediately admitted to the Dinajpur Zia Heart Foundation Hospital.
After initial treatment, his condition deteriorated. Consequently, he was transferred to United Hospital in the capital via an air ambulance at 11 am on Friday for better medical care.
Family members and party colleagues have requested prayers for his swift recovery from people of all walks of life in the Thakurgaon-3 constituency and from citizens across the country.
