Leaders and workers of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will intensify their ongoing so-called movement even after the 12th national parliamentary election held on Sunday peacefully. Their movement will be nonstop until the fall of the government, according to sources.

We have noticed since long with deep concern that BNP and their allies have started carrying out massive terrorist activities, including sabotage and arson in the name of movement, ahead of the January 7 election. Countrymen think BNP’s movement means carrying out arson terrorism, killing, attacking law enforcers and destroying everything.

Therefore, we want to pose a question why would they destroy everything like this? Who gave them the right?

BNP-Jamaat clique has already set fire to 658 buses and 17 trains across the country since October 28 last that claimed at least lives of 10 people. From the fire incident carried out by BNP-Jamaat at least 20 drivers and helpers of buses received burn injuries while one policeman was killed and 150 more received injuries during this time, according to media report.

They (BNP-Jamaat supporters) blasted at least 400 hand bombs and cocktails and attacked over 50 journalists and six AL offices during the period. They also set a court room of Khulna Court on fire.

They (BNP-Jamaat) again chose the path of fire terrorism like 2013-14 instead of going through democratic political process. The fire set by BNP-Jamaat on Benapole Express train claimed four lives, including a mother and a child, and injured several others on Friday night.

It is very unfortunate that when people are celebrating the national election with casting their votes, the defeated forces were setting fire to train and vehicles. Bangladesh was born as an independent state under the leadership of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the cost of the supreme sacrifices of three million people and the honour of nearly half a million women 52 years back. But, the defeated forces of 1971 have not accepted their humiliating defeat yet even after 52 years of independence.

It seems that anti-liberation and communal forces led by BNP have emerged as new occupational force in the country likewise in the country’s War of Liberation in 1971.

BNP along with the Jamaat killed innocent people through arson attacks and are taking people hostage. They were out to halt the country’s democratic progress by opposing the elections but failed to do so like in the past.

The defeated forces opposed the elections in Bangladesh as they want to establish communalism in this country and destroy the advancement of the politics. After the country’s independence, Bangabandhu worked to rebuild war-torn Bangladesh, but the conspirators killed him with most of his family in 1975 to stop the development of Bangladesh.

However, the efforts of the anti-liberation forces did not succeed. BNP-Jamaat alliance and their cohorts are still doing evil politics in the name of movement.

They are plotting to ruin the country’s post election environment. Therefore, all the pro-liberation forces will remain alert to any kind of conspiracy.
