Agriculture Minister Dr Md Abdur Razzaque on Thursday said that the national government proposed by BNP will be formed with anti-Bangladesh clique and enemies of the country, including Razakars, Al Badars and Jamaat.
"BNP is attempting to form a national government excluding Awami League, which has a glorious past like establishing an independent nation state. Will it be a national government? It will be the government of anti-Bangladesh enemies, including Razakars, Al Badars and Jamaat as BNP’s ideal government is filled with anti-Bangladesh elements," he said.
Razzaque, also ruling Awami League (AL) presidium member, made the remarks while addressing the triennial conference of Mirzapur upazila AL as the chief guest here, said a press release.
Referring to BNP, he said, "The people of the country have rejected you and pushed away. There will be no national government, the government of Razakars-Al Badars or the government of BNP-Jamaat in Bangladesh".
Those, who will bag more seats in parliament through election, will form the government, the minister said, adding that national government is not formed in any country under a normal situation rather it's formed in an emergency periods, including war and natural disasters.
"Therefore, there will never be formed any national government in Bangladesh," Razzaque said.
Pointing out that BNP had established a reign of terrorism and militancy, destroyed the country's economy and made public life miserable, the AL leader said there is no soil under BNP's feet since they are isolated from the people as they are out of state power for the last 16 years.
