BNP holds torch procession in Raozan protesting AL's "anarchy"

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and its associate organizations from the Rauzan Upazila and Municipal units held a massive torch procession to protest the nationwide ban on activities planned for November 13 and to denounce what they termed the "anarchy" created by the Awami League.

The torch procession began on Wednesday evening (November 12) in front of the party's office in Munshirghat, located in the Upazila headquarters. The procession route moved through the Chattogram-Rangamati highway, circled through areas including Jalilnagar and Thana Road, passed through Fakirhat, and concluded with a rally back at the starting point in Munshirghat.

The rally was chaired by Saber Sultan Kajol, the Vice President of the Chattogram North District Juba Dal (the party's youth wing). The chief guest's speech was delivered by Syed Manjurul Haq, the former General Secretary of the Rauzan Municipality BNP. The event was conducted (emceed) by Ariful Islam, the former Assistant General Secretary of the Chattogram North District Chhatra Dal (the party's student wing).

The speakers included Former Union Parishad Chairman Faizul Islam Chowdhury Tipu; North District Juba Dal Vice Presidents Moazzem Hok and Masudul Alam; and party leaders Tayeb Sultan, Iqbal Chowdhury, Farid Uddin, Nizam Uddin Sujan, Selim Uddin, Syed Touhidul Alam, S.M. Yusuf, Md. Ekram Mia, Kamal Uddin, Hossain Chowdhury, Arif Uddin, Rustam Member, Abdul Mannan Mani, Shahjahan Sahil, Shahadat Mirza, Md. Rewaz, Taslim Uddin, Md. Ali Suman, Md. Shahid Chowdhury, Abdul Shukkur, Didarul Alam Wahedi, Ershad, Nurul Aslam Kaishar, and Sarwar. Also present and speaking were Juba Dal leaders Shahabuddin, Faisal Hossain, and Rubel.

The speakers at the rally declared, "No anarchy from the Awami terrorists, the fallen force of August 5, will be tolerated. The fascist forces are trying to destabilize the country by creating chaos in the name of lockdown; this attempt will never be successful."
