Bangladesh Awami League Joint General Secretary and Information Minister and Broadcasting Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said, ‘BNP leaders can do nothing but lies. BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has received the 'award' for lying with political confidence. Besides, most of the central leaders of the BNP lie to get rid of each other.’
Mentioning that one or two BNP leaders said that the new election commission was good and neutral, which is more suspicious, he said, “Social media has an impact on politics and leaders and activists need to be aware and active in this regard.”
Information and Broadcasting Minister made this comment at the first session of the triennial conference of Sirajganj District Awami League. Dr. Hassan returned from a visit to India yesterday and joined the conference as a special guest.
He said the BNP is scared when it hears the name of the election. Begum Zia and Tarique Rahman will not be able to participate in the election as they have been convicted, so they do not want the election.a
Hasan, the joint general secretary of the Awami League, told a large number of local political leaders and activists who had attended the district conference three years later that the party would be brought to power. Money cannot buy politics, only those who have kept politics alive through labor, talent and sacrifice will be brought to power, they will be elected as leaders. He said that now the world leaders are also praising the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. They have come to the country and everyone has praised Sheikh Hasina. Because they see Sheikh Hasina's development, but they don't see BNP and they just don't appreciate it.

Sirajganj District Awami League Acting President Advocate KM Hossain Ali Hasan presided over while Acting General Secretary Md. Abdus Salam conducted the programme.
Awami League presidium member Abdur Rahman inaugurated the conference at Sirajganj Government College ground. Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader virtually spoke as the chief guest. Central, local leaders and members of parliament addressed the conference.
