‘BNP creating anarchy over Khaleda issue’

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has said, “Bangabandhu’s daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given me the responsibility Joint General Secretary of ruling Awami League. I have taken the responsibility as a challenge.  I will try from the beginning to succeed in this task.  I will always try to honor the confidence and trust bestowed upon me.” 

He said this while talking to reporters at the VIP lounge at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chatogram on Wednesday afternoon.

Mentioning that Bangladesh has changed today under the leadership of Awami League, Hasan Mahmud said that the leader of the people Sheikh Hasina has talked about the dream of building Bangladesh as a prosperous rich state.  We want Bangladesh to reach that dreamed position under the leadership of Awami League.  

BSS adds: Hasan Mahmud said BNP is creating political terrorism and anarchy across the country over the treatment of its chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.

“Khaleda has been suffering from knee and waist pains, which are her prolonged health complications, not new ones,” he said while replying to a question of a journalists.

Khaleda Zia discharged responsibilities as the prime minister for two terms and the leader of the oppositions in parliament for two times, with her prolonged arthritics pains, he said.

He also said that the BNP leaders are largely focusing on the old health complications of Khaleda repeatedly, which is one kind of information anarchism.

The minister further said that Bangladesh is progressing fast under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the Premier is relentlessly working to fulfill the dreams of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and build a prosperous and developed country.

The presidents and general secretaries of Chattogram north and south district unit of AL and leaders and activists of AL Chattogram city, north, south units and Rangunia upazila leaders were present.
