BNFWA provides PPE at Suhrawardy Medical

To fight against coronavirus, Bangladesh Navy Family Welfare Association (BNFWA) provided personal protection equipment (PPE), facemasks, gloves and disinfectant soaps to the doctors and nurses of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital in the capital. They provided the equipment on Wednesday, says a press release issued from ISPR.

President of BNFWA Professor Dr Afroza Aurangzeb formally handed over the materials to professor of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital Dr Uttam Kumar Barua. To ensure the personal safety of doctors and nurses employed at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital, a total of 200 pieces of PPE, 1000 piece of mask, 300 set of hand gloves, 300 kg of bleeching powder and 1000 piece disinfectant soap were provided at the time.

Meanwhile, Dhaka unit of BNFWA distributed necessary commodities, including disinfectant soap, among the poor people at T&T Colony at Banani area in the capital. Relief materials were handed over to the ward commissioner of Ward No 19 and 20 to be delivered among these poor families. Each family will get  10 kg rice, 5 kg potatoes, 2 kg pulses, 2 kg oil, 1 kg salt, 2 kg puffed rice and 6 disinfectant soaps during the time.
