Barendra Multipurpose Authorities in Rajshahi inaugurated tree plantation programme under its ' Optimum use of surface water, extension of irrigation through preserving rainwater' project on both sides of the re-excavated Merigachha canal under Nagar union of Boraigram upazila on Tuesday (Aug-3). Begum Akhter Jahan, Chairman of BMDA inaugurated the prog through a virtual function as the chief guest.
The inaugural function was attended, among others, by Executive Engineer of BMDA Abdur Rahsid, Project Director Sumanta K Basak, Exe-Eng Abdul Latif, Exe-Eng of Natore region Moniruzzaman, Asst-Eng Abul Kalam Azad, Asst Directors,officials and employees of Natore zone BMDA.
Moreover, local AL leaders including Nagar UP Chairman Nilufa Yeasmin Dalu and farmers were also present at the function.
