Meherpur district Awami League distributed blankets among 5,000 cold-hit people on the premises of Kabi Nazrul Shiksha Manzil at 11:30 am on Tuesday. Farhad Hossain, Minister for Public Administration and district Awami League President provided the money for buying blankets from his own fund.
Municipal Awami League President Iqbal Hossain Bulbul presided over the event. District Awami League Deputy Publicity and Publication Secretary Mizanur Rahman Hiron, General Secretary of Bara Bazaar Traders Association Aminul Islam Khokon and other leaders and activists of various levels were present at this time. The warm clothes were distributed from the own funds of Farhad Hossain, Minister of Public Administration and District Awami League President.
Narail Correspondent reports: A total of 200 blankets were distributed among the poor,helpless and cold-hit people living in South Narail of sadar upazila of the district on Monday noon.The warm clothes were distributed from 'Anjuman Mufidul Islam’.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Ashfaqul Haque Chowdury handed over the blankets as the chief guest among the cold-affected poor people.
Anjuman Mufidul Islam district branch president,Narail Municipality’s former ward commissioner Abdur Rashid Mannu,founder general secretary of the organisation M.M Moslem Uddin Nannu,treasurer Anwar Hossain, heroic freedom fighter Saifur Rahman Hilu, among others, were present on the occasion.
M.M Moslem Uddin Nannu said, about 200 blankets have been distribted among the poor,helpless and cold-hit people of the area for welfare of humanity.He urged the rich people to stand by the cold affected poor people to mitigate their sufferings.
BSS from Naogaon adds: A total of 700 warm clothes were distributed among the helpless, cold-hit people living in Sadar upazila of the district Tuesday.The warm clothes were distributed from the relief and welfare fund of Naogaon District Fertilizer Association unit.
Barrister Nizam Uddin Jalil John, MP of Naogaon-5 (Sadar) constituency, handed over the warm clothes as the chief guest at a function with president of Naogaon District Fertilizer Association unit Rezaul Karim in the chair this afternoon.
The warm clothes distribution function was held at Sarishahati junction area of the town.
Naogaon Chamber of Commerce and Industry President and FBCCI Director Iqbal Shahriar Russell, District Awami League Senior Vice President Abdul Khalek, District Fertilizer Association Naogaon District unit Vice President Wasef Ali Mollah and its General Secretary Deepak Kumar Sarkar, among others, were present.
The MP urged the rich people to stand by the cold affected poor people to mitigate their sufferings.
