Blankets were distributed among poor people in Narail on Wednesday by Forum 86 BUET.
General Secretary of the organisation Engineer Md. Musa Mia distributed blankets at Rupganj bus stand in the district town as chief guest. Former Vice President of Narail Press Club Sultan Mahmood, General Secretary of Narail Electric Shop Owners Association Md Ibrahim Babu, Narail Correspondent of Dainik Gramer Kagoj Abdul Kader, journalist Sazzad Hossain Tuhin, Dilip Adhikari and others were present at the time.
Besides, the organisation has distributed a total of 160 blankets among the orphans of Nunkhir orphanage, Khalisakhali orphanage and helpless cold victims in Mulia.
Engineer Md Musa Mia said, “We are distributing winter clothes according to the capacity of the organisation so that no destitute person suffers from winter.”
Earlier, he distributed goats among the poor and cash among the extremely poor who became unemployed in Corona situation. Mentioned here, lives of people in Narail turned miserable due to ongoing moderate cold-wave for the last five days.
