BITAC, CUET sign MoU over exchange of industry and technology

Tools and Technology Institute (TTI) of Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center (BITAC) under Ministry of Industries has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET).

CUET Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Rafiqul Alam was present as the MoU singing ceremony held in the syndicate room of the university's administrative building on Monday.

The MoU was signed by Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Dean and Registrar (Additional Charge) of CUET Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Dr. Md. Jalal Uddin, Director (Planning) of BITAC as representatives of respective institutions.  At this time, BITAC Director (Additional Secretary) Anwar Hossain Chowdhury was present.

As witnesses to the agreement, CUET Mechanical Engineering Department Head Prof.Dr. Mohammad Mizanur Rahman, Petroleum and Mining Engineering Department Head Professor Dr. Md. Sanaul Rabbi, Mechatronics and Industrial Engineering Department Head Professor Dr. Jamal Uddin Ahmed and BITAC TTI Additional Director Md. Jahangir Alam and BITAC Additional Director Pabitra Kumar Kabiraj signed.

Under the agreement, for the next five years, the three departments of the mechanical engineering faculty of CUET and the two TTI institutes of BITAC will jointly carry out the research work.

 They will also carry out development (R&D), innovation and technology exchange, undertake joint research projects to solve industrial problems, apply technology in production activities, undertake entrepreneurship development programs, national and international seminars- symposium organization, industrial attachment of students etc. will benefit.

CUET Deputy Director (Information and Publication) Mohammad Fazlur Rahman, Assistant Coordinator (Coordination) Muhammad Rashedul Islam and Assistant Registrar (Law and Estate) Mohammad Jobair Hossain were present at the time.
