Bit policing to prevent stone throwing on trains

Railway police have carried out awareness programmes at various places as part of bit policing activities to prevent stone pelting on moving trains.

 The operation was organized by Sitakunda Railway Police Outpost in these areas on Saturday.

Under the direction of Railway Police Superintendent Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury and Chittagong Railway Police Officer-in-Charge Md Nazim Uddin presided.  Local people's representatives, RNB, railway officials and employees, teachers of local schools, imams of mosques, local personalities and Railway Police members were present on the occasion.

The speakers informed the locals living in the vicinity of the railway station and the railway line about the evils of throwing stones at the train.  Everyone is informed about the punishment of stoning.

 On the same day, Laksam Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Jasim Uddin Khandaker presided over the function.  A bit policing meeting was held at Feni Railway Police Outpost Sahadevpur Railway Slum Colony area for public awareness.

 Railway Superintendent of Police Mohammad Hasan Chowdhury said that various steps have been taken by the Railway Police to prevent stones in moving trains.  As part of this, awareness activities are going on in different areas.
