Biman’s flight to Toronto starts July 27 Advance ticket sale starts

Biman Bangladesh Airlines will start commercial flights on Dhaka-Toronto route from July 27. Those wishing to travel to Toronto will now be able to collect advance tickets. 

This information was given in a press release of the organization on Sunday. 

Initially, flights on the Dhaka-Toronto route will be operated twice a week. Biman will fly from Dhaka to Toronto every Wednesday and Sunday. On the same day, the return flight from Toronto will depart for Dhaka. The Boeing-788 Dreamliner aircraft is being used to operate flights on the route. 

The flight will make an hour technical landing in Istanbul, Turkey on its way from Dhaka. However, the return flight will land directly in Dhaka, Biman said. 

A minimum fare of Tk 90,510 has been fixed for one-way journey in economy class from Bangladesh. The return ticket fare is Tk 153370. 

One way fare of premium economy class is Tk 127300 and return fare is Tk 234355. One-way fare for business class travel will start from Tk 164100 and the minimum fare for the return ticket has been fixed at Tk 304302. 

For passengers who will come to Dhaka from Toronto, the one-way fare in economy class has been fixed at Canadian Dollar 690 and the return ticket price is Canadian Dollar 1233. 

As a general sales agent appointment is still in activtive process, to fly Dhaka from Toronto a passenger will have to purchase tickets from Biman’s official website.  

According to information, the flight from Dhaka to Toronto will be launched commercially on the night of July 27. The plane will land in Istanbul, Turkey for refueling. There will be a break of about an hour. At that time the passengers have to stay in the plane. As there is an agreement with Turkey, the plane can take passengers from Turkey if it wants.  Earlier, Biman managing director and CEO Abu Saleh Mostafa Kamal on June 1 during an event said that the Dhaka-Toronto route would be operated from June 28.
