BIFPCL organizes painting competition in Rampal to celebrate Mujib Barsho

On the occasion of Mujib Barsho, Bangladesh-India Friendship Power Company (Pvt) Limited (BIFPCL) organized painting competition in Sunderban Mahila College of Rampal upazila where 200 students of 15 schools of Rampal and Mongla participated and drew various photos of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. 

BIFPCL has been contributing significantly to the social development through diversified social works including various supportive programs in education, health and infrastructures in Rampal and Mongla upazilas of Bagerhat district.  BIFPCL focused on changing the fate of mass people of this region through different activities related to uplift livelihoods of the local people. 

Present government has undertaken programs to ensure 100 per cent electricity by December this year. Power Division has expressed its commitment to deliver one hour extra services to its clients. The entire Mujib Barsho will be celebrated as "Sheba Borsho" as well. Dr. Sultan Shamed, Secretary, Power Division made these remarks while attending the prize distribution program as chief guest today on 14 February, 2020 (Friday).  

Dr. Sultan Shamed, Secretary, Power Division attended the distribution program as Chief Guest while Managing Director of BIFPCL Naresh Anand preside the program. Joint secretary of power sector Nurul Alom, Deputy Secretary Md. Nazmul Abedin, Project Director SC Pandey, member bub Md Zakir Hossain, chief engineer Mahabubur Rahama, Deputy Prohect director Md. Rezaul Karim, Rampal attended the function as special guests. Among others, Rampal upozilna nirbahi officer Tushar Kumar Paul, Sidharth Mondal, DGM (HR), Tariqul Islam, DM (HR), BIFPCL, Mallick Sudhangsu, President of Khulna TV Reporters Unity and eminent local personalities were present at the function. 

It may be mentioned that BIFPCL is implementing various community development activities in the vicinity of project site in Rampal and Mongla. Free health services, skill development and support to local educational institutions and students and traditional cultural programs for the local community are such initiatives of the company.
