BGD e-GOV CIRT arranging a Cyber Drill for financial institutions

Bangladesh Government's e-Government Computer Incident Response Team (BGD e-GOV CIRT), currently serving as the National CIRT of Bangladesh (N-CERT) with responsibilities including but not limited to receiving, reviewing, and responding to computer security incidents and activities in territory of Bangladesh as well as keeping close collaboration with international partners to secure the cyberspace of Bangladesh. BGD e-GOV CIRT reviews and takes necessary measures to resolve the issues with broad cybersecurity ramifications, conducts research & development and provides guidance on security threats & vulnerabilities. BGD e-GOV C1RT also work with various Government Agencies, Critical Information Infrastructures (CII), Financial Organizations, Law Enforcement Agencies (LEA), Academia & Civil Societies to help improving the cybersecurity landscape of Bangladesh.

BGD e-GOV CIRT is arranging a Cyber Drill on 22 October 2020 for Incident Handling at Financial Institution. This is the first time online cyber drill in Bangladesh. The theme for this event is "Incident Handling" at Financial Institute. In Cyber Security, Incident management is the process of identifying, managing, recording and analyzing security threats or incidents in real-time.

Thirty-five teams from 30 Banks are participating in the event. This will help build resilience and capacity for handling cyber threats in the banks. Details are available on www.cirt.gov.bd.
