BGB seizes 329 bottles of Indian phensedyl syrup

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel of 58 battalion at Khallishpur in Jhenidah have seized a total of 329 bottles of contra banned Indian phensedyl syrup in three separate drives between Friday evening and Saturday early morning.

BGB 58 battalion assistant director Qamrul Hasan said as a part of their anti-drug drives, the border guards seized 24 bottles of the contra banned from Sadapara field, 167 bottles from Rajapur Kalabagan area and another 138 bottles from Rangiarpota in Moheshpur upazila.

But they could not nab the drug vendors during the drives. The seized contra banned items were deposited to local authority fling separate cases with bordering Moheshpur police station, the BGB official said.
