BGB recovers black stone idol

Personnel of 29th Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered a touchstone from Parbatipur upazila on Friday. The stone was recovered from Barodal village in the area. The estimated proce of this touchstone is considered to be around Tk 7 lakh.

29th BGB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Sharif Ullah Abed after receiving a tip-off led a team at Barodal village Danga area. BGB team during the drive obtained a touchstone statue from there.  The statue is 15 inch long and 8 inch wide.

BGB official said that further inspection on the statue is ongoing.

Lieutenant Colonel Sharif Ullah Abed after contacted said that he and his team received a news that an illegal deal of touchstone purchase will be conducted at the area. Receiving the tip-off, his team led by him rescued the statue. No one was found near the statue during the drive.

He also said that BGB will continue these drives to curb the crime rate in the area.
