BGB recovers 70,000 Yaba pills in Cox’s Bazar

Boarder Guard of Bangladesh seized 70,000 pieces of contra banned Yaba pills, worth of Tk 2 crore and 10 lakh from Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday.

Talking to the Bangladesh Post, Aminul Islam, Additional Director General of BGB confirmed it on Wednesday.

He said Cox’s Bazar battalion of BGB conducted a raid at Nolbonia village under Palongkhali Union Parishad of UkhiyaUpazila in Cox’s Bazar on Tuesday night following secret information. After searching a house of one MdAbdus Salam, BGB seized 70,000 pieces of contra banned Yaba pills from the house.

However, BGB personnel failed to arrest anybody in this connection.

BGB claimed that MdLutfar Rahman and house owner Abdus Salam were the owners of the Yaba.

Later a case was filed under the local Ukhiya Police Station in this connection.

The seized Yabawere also handed over the police station.
