BGB nabs two with pistols, bullets in Jashore

Border Guard Bangladesh members in a drive detained father and son alleged arm traders with five foreign made pistols and five round of bullets on Monday morning at Sadipur village in Benapole Port Thana under Jashore district. 

The detainees were identified as Shah Jamal Kalu,52, and his son Sohel Rana,30, of Sadipur village in Benapole Port Thana of the district. 

Jashore 49 BGB Battalion Commander Shahed Minhaj Siddiqui said, on secret information, a team of BGB raided the house of Shah Jamal Kalu on Monday morning. 

Five foreign pistols and five round of bullets were seized from the house. Kalu and his son Sohel were arrested on charges of illegal possession of firearms.

A case was filed in Benapole Port Police Station."After filing the case in this connection against the detainees under the Arms Act, the BGB handed them over to Benapole port police station on Monday," he added.
