49 BGB officials have distributed relief of Bidyananda Foundation among the unemployed and helpless port workers in Benapole Port terminal area on yesterday (Saturday).
The Bidyananda Foundation started distributing relief materials to all these families at home to prevent coronavirus infection.
Lt. Col Salim Reja , Commanding officer ,Jashore 49 BGB Battalion distributed relief items to 1,000 extremely poor port workers. Food items again will be distributed among more than 500 poor and helpless families on Sunday.
Major Nazrul Islam, Deputy Commander of 49 BGB Battalion was present on the occasion. During this time, food aid was also given to 50 cleaning staff of Benapole Municipal Council.
