In a humanitarian gesture, the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) allowed relatives of an Indian woman, residing in Bangladesh, to see her for the last time at the zero line of the border.
Lozina Begum (80), a resident of Gobra village in Nadia district, India, passed away at her home on Monday night. Her daughters, who live permanently in Joypur village, Chuadanga, Bangladesh, requested to see their mother one last time.
In coordination with India's BSF, BGB's Chuadanga-6 Battalion arranged the viewing near Main Pillar 96/8-S on Tuesday from 9:00 to 9:30 AM. Lozina had been living in India with her husband, and leaves behind four children, including two daughters residing in Bangladesh.
