Election wind is blowing in Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF). Chief Election Commissioner Mejbah Uddin Ahmed has announced the schedule ahead of the elections to be held on October 26.
Distribution of nomination papers will start on Thursday will continue till October 12. This year also 21 posts will be elected. Tabith Awal and Tarfdar Ruhul Amin have already announced to fight for the post of BFF president. However, neither of them has revealed anything about their panel or who will be their partners. They said that they will tell everything after the announcement of the schedule.
The deadline for submission of nominations is October 14 and 15. Nominations will be scrutinized on October 16. Any objection to the nomination should be raised by October 17.
The hearing will be held on October 18 after the nomination papers are scrutinized. The time for withdrawal of nominations is October 19-20. After that the candidature cannot be cancelled. The price of nomination paper has been kept as before. The price of nomination paper for the post of president is taka one lakh, senior vice president taka 75 thousand, vice president taka 50 thousand, member taka 25 thousand. Voting will be held on October 26 from 2 pm to 6 pm. Candidates must be at least 25 years of age to participate in the elections and maximum 72 years.
