Benuka Lalitkala Kendra celebrated its 46th founding anniversary and Nazrul Year 2026 with a colourful cultural programme in Dhaka on Saturday (October 3).
The event was held at the National Theatre Hall of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at 6:15pm.
The programme was organised under the theme, “Nurturing native heritage is essential for a healthy culture.”
The main attraction of the celebration was a cultural performance titled “Benuka’s Melody in the Light of Heritage”, featuring a range of traditional and cultural presentations.
As part of the programme, Benuka Lalitkala Kendra honoured noted Nazrul and classical music artiste Salahuddin Ahmed for his contribution to music and cultural practices.
The celebration brought together artistes, cultural activists and enthusiasts to mark the organisation’s longstanding contribution to the promotion and practice of Bangladesh’s cultural heritage.
