Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim has said that innovative thinking must be developed in conducting government duties.
“Responsibilities must be full-filled with honesty, devotion and transparency. We have to have a strong mindset to work for the welfare of the people,” he said.
The minister made the remark while conveying greetings and congratulations to the newly promoted officials of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock in his office room at the Secretariat on Sunday.

Addressing the promoted officers, the minister further said, “Promotion in government service is a recognition of good performance. This consistency must be continued. It is necessary to perform the duties with more sincerity in the newly appointed post for the welfare of the country.”
He advised them not to get involved in irregularities or corruption due to any unwanted pressure.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock Shyamal Chandra Karmakar, Subol Bose Moni, Md Taufiqul Arif and officials of different levels of the ministry including SM Ferdous Alamand were present at the time.
On October 29, a total of eight Deputy Secretaries of the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock were promoted to the post of Joint Secretary.
