Dhaka Zila Chattra League (North) held  a protest  meeting, lighting candles demanding immediate arrest and  ensuring capital punishment for the rapists and violators  who are involved in rape and violence against woman and children, at Bangabandhu Chattar, in Savar, on the outskirts of the capital on Wednesday evening.

Many leaders  and activists from the meeting said, “We urge  the government to arrest and  ensure capital punishment for all the culprits  who involved in rape and violence.” The student leaders also said that a vested quarter of the country was trying to tarnish the ruling party image, making issues centering these unwanted incidents that happened, whereas the Government and police still  were playing a strict role against the criminals. Even they want the fall of this government rather than demanding justice for the rapists.

They urged people to keep alert about those propagandists  who run the provocative campaign against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Bangladesh Chattra League. Saidul Islam, President of Dhaka Zila Chattra League (North), Monirul Islam, Secretary, Firoz Kabir, Secretary of Savar Upazila Chattra League, Md. Shajib Hossain, Sr. Vice-president of Savar Municipality Chattra league, Amit Dutta, President of Savar Collage Chattra league, Tajul Islam, Secretary participated at the protest program along with other leaders and activists of Ashulia Thana and Dhamrai Upazila Chattra League.
