Rangpur district unit of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) launched a Mujib Corner and Library with internet connectivity marking the 75th founding anniversary of the glorious students' organisation in Jamalpur on Saturday afternoon.
Convener of district Awami League AKM Chhayadat Hossain Bakul with its Joint Convener Mazed Ali Babul inaugurated the Mujib Corner and Library by cutting a tape in a function held at the district BCL office in the city.
The Mujib Corner and Library have been established to know Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and enrich the repository of knowledge on the history and tradition of Bangladesh Chhatra League and politics of Bangladesh.
President of district BCL President SM Sabbir Ahmed presided over the function moderated by its General Secretary AKM Tanim Ahsan Chapal.
Awami League leaders Motahar JHossain Mondol Moula, Mizanur Rahman Tuhin and Zinnat Hossain Lablu, Jubo League leader Laksmin Chandra Das and leaders of the district, city and other units of BCL were present.
Addressing the occasion, the speakers called upon BCL leaders to read books in the library and learn the glorious history and tradition of BCL, politics of Bangladesh, politics of Awami League and make them more efficient in politics in the future.
