The student wing of the ruling party Awami League, Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), has honored and felicitated Hafez Bashir Ahmad, a 13-year-old young boy who recently became champion in Iran's international Quran competition.
On Monday afternoon, BCL president Saddam Hussain and general secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Enan welcomed him with flowers, books and gifts at Dhaka University’s Modhur Canteen.
On the occasion, his teacher and director of Dhaka’s Markazut Tahfiz International Madrasa, Nesar Ahmad An Nasiri, BCL’s Madrasa Affairs Secretary Jahirul Islam, among others, were presented.
Earlier, Hafez Bashir Ahmad won third place in an international Quran competition held in Algeria. He is a student of Markazut Tahfiz International Madrasa, Dhaka.
