Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) on Sunday night dissolved its Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit as its tenure expired.
A press release singed by the organization’s central president Al Nahian Khan Joy and general secretary Lekhak Bhattacharjee dissolved Juwel-Chanchal committee on Sunday.
Lekhak Bhattacharjee, general secretary of BCL, said, ‘Top leaders of JU unit BCL have left the campus. We couldn’t collaborate with the committee due to Covid-19 pandemic. So the central executives dissolved the committee on Sunday to speed up BCL activities in the campus.”
Meanwhile, the activists of JU have been asked to submit their CVs to the central committee for president and secretary post within 10 working days.
However, a new committee will be formed soon, said Lekhak Bhattacharjee. Mentionable, the dissolved JU committee was formed on December 27, 2016.
