A cargo vessel named MV Baitul Izzah-3 collided with two other ships in the vicinity of Chandpur Harina Ghat on Monday while approaching due to inclement weather and strong currents.
Rescuers from Bangladesh Coast Guard Station Chandpur and Haimchar rushed to the spot and rescued all the 14 crew members alive. The cargo was on its way to Dhaka and was anchored in Harinaghat area. The cargo sank as water entered it quickly. Until the last news, the rescue work of the ship has started under the supervision of BIWTA.
